Obituary:
Mrs. Agnes Antonia Seitz

Agnes Antonia Seitz of Yoakum age 87 years, 6 months and 5 days, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1992.

A parish rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 at the Buffington Funeral Home Chapel in Yoakum by KJZT Society No. 1 and a CDA rosary was recited at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Yoakum, prior to the funeral services held at 11 a.m. October 3, 1992 with the Rev. Gabiel Mensah and Bishop Charles Grahmann officiating.

Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home, Yoakum.

Pallbearers were Ronald Pesek, Mark Grahmann, Victor Pulkrabek, Gene Hanus, Bennie Hanus and Alvin Staffek.

Mrs. Seitz was born March 25, 1905, in Shiner to the late Kaspar and Mary (Cerny) Hanus. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She was a retired cafeteria manager having formerly been employed by the Yoakum Independent School District and St. Joseph Catholic School. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Legion of Mary.

She had been a member of the KJZT Society for 50 yerars.

She is survived by two daughters, Margie Grahmann of Hallettsville and Wilma Pesek of Yoakum; two sisters, Annie Pulkrabek of Yoakum and Theresa Baros of Houston; one brother, William J. Hanus of Yoakum; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, June 16, 1965; her father, March 22, 1927; her mother, Nov. 7, 1965; three sisters, Mrs. Charles (Mary) Staffek, Oct. 22, 1982; Mrs. Tillie Merecka Toenjes, Dec. 12, 1935; Mrs. Adolph (Victoria) Kocian; four brothers, Albert Hanus, 1982; Joe Hanus, Feb. 8, 1982; Adolph Hanus, Nov. 14, 1963; John F. Hanus, Mar. 18, 1985; and foster brother, Louis Drozd.
